Poems from a Little Poetess

Hello friends,
I'm going to 6th grade!!
Here's my poem to express myself!!

I'm going to 6th grade...
I got all the books ready made!!
Now I got to cover them all!
Before I go to play with my ball!

The classes have not yet begun...
But I began to have fun!
I started to read my English Text book!
If you want you can take a look!

Now on April 1st
When my school opens..
I will run fast and
Jump over my fence!

Cross the road,
Get into the bus!
Its a new year for
All of us!

I have been studying in my school "The Indian High School , Dubai " for 8 years!
Though I'm only going to 6th I learnt two years for K.G.1 and K.G.2. over here!

Hi Friends,
I love everything in space.
The galaxies , the cosmos, the constellations etc.


Life on Mars:-

Yesterday , I heard from my friends that aliens are living in space....!!
I didn't believe them, so I did research on the computer about life on mars.
I saw the photo ...!!!! Aah!!
But I still don't believe it...
It could be some of nature's tricks played on us...
My ambition is to be a space scientist or astronaut!
And I believe everything about space ! Except for this ....!


I tried to get rid of that picture from my mind....
When I fell asleep some aliens invaded my dream too!!!
I could describe it to you in the form of a short poem.........


Alien Invasion

Their spaceship was metallic golden
With yellow windows.....
Some of them were wearing green gowns,
The others were in purple tuxedos......


They spoke a different language
Which I did not understand.....
They came to my backyard
And made castles out of sand!!


They gave me a transalator
To understand their language....
Even a teleporter
To transport their luggage...


Their land must be made of
Technology, I guess........
There might be robots to
clean up every mess..!!

They promised that they might send me something technological from Mars!
And I promise to show it to you soon!!

These were there last words to me :~

" Good bye .See u soon"
" We won't forget about the technological thing u needed..!!

Well I wrote an Islamic poem about the greeting "AS-SALAAMMU ALAIKUM"
Here It Goes........

SALAM

Say salam to one another
As you pass by......
Its better than Good morning
To say that never be shy..!


"AS-SALAAMMU ALAIKUM "
Comes the saying..
"WA ALAIKUM ASSALAM"
Comes the replying........


Passing through the streets,
Waving your head....
Don't say " Hi"
Say SALAM instead

The Pleasant
Winds blow......
The green
Plants grow......

The Dandelions
Are yellow
They are as
Soft as a pillow.....

Roses are red.........
They grow on the soft sand bed........

Violets are blue....
Thats indeed true....

Isn't the butterfly a beauty..........
Stealing the honey, Yes. She is naughty..!!!

She makes me happy...
When I feel sad.
She comforts me
When I feel bad......
In just one of her
Beautiful gazes......
I can see a thousands of
Pretty faces...............



No matter how much
She shouts at you....
You must always tell her
What is true.............
She has a big piece
Of her heart for you...........
Whatever I said here
Is completely true...........




This was just a short poem to express the feelings of a little girl about her mother........!

Do you know how
plants can grow.......?
Have you seen their
Roots come out below........?



You can see a bulb,
Sending out roots....
After sometime ,
Up goes the shoots!


Some plants grow
Flowers too.....
I'd like one for myself,
Wouldn't you?


The gigantic Water lily
The leaves of Raffia Palm,
I think they are too big,
To grow in a farm.......!


There are some fruits
Like the Peach,
They are really yummy,
And in Vitamins they are rich.........!!!


I'd love to visit
The Plant Kingdom,
And smell all the flowers,
and eat all the fruits......" Yummm"..!

Copper and Zinc ,
Together form Brass
Everyone likes that
Little Lass.


Copper was born in
Planet Pyrite,
Thats why he has
So much might..!


Zinc came from
Mummy Calamine
She wants to visit the
Lovely Goldmines...!


Iron was adopted by
Lady Haemetite,
And you know what?
Iron loves to fight!


Aluminium loves her
Mummy Bauxite,
She always obeys her mummy
And does what is right.

There were these rocks
Big and small
Living on the mountains
Short and tall


They were black,
Brown and red
Forming on the hot,
Magma bed


Conglomerate.....
Limestone and Granite
These are some of,
My favourites.

Calamine.............
Pyrite and Bauxite
Are the best friends of
Haematite....


Bauxite is the
Ore of Aluminium
Today, half the world's energy
Comes from Petroleum..

like the colour whiteIt is very very light.
I like the colour black,
Even though it is dark.
A beautiful blanket of green,
Always keeps me clean.
I love the colour blue,
Its cool and fresh too!

The nice colour of red,
Is still asleep in bed.
The cowboy Mr. Yellow
Is a jolly good fellow.
Good Mr. Brown,
Is wearing a jeweled crown.
Orange - The yummy citrus fruit,
Is wearing an orange suit

Ms. Violet is busy painting the dark sky,
She loves to see the colourful birds fly!
Golden is very very rich,
She is so grand that she'll never paint a ditch.
Ms. Silver paints the utensils,
She even painted my pencils!

I was very happy
When I learned to fly,
On my magic carpet
In the blue sky.

It was purple in colour,
With gold lines.
I flew over beaches,
Parks and gold mines.

My magic carpet can talk,
It can jump run and walk.
It loves me very much,
There is no carpet as such.

The bright old moon
Is the oldest fisherman,
The rat on it fries all the fishes
In the frying pan

The clouds provide
Ice cream for the moon
While the moon is sitting
in the lunar room

The moon provides
Tides for the lazy ships
Only if the sailors
Provide the moon with.......Chips!

Big golden oranges
Which tastes so sweet
Red cheeked apples
We have plenty to eat!

Bottles of creamy milk
Do you know how they taste?
Fresh Spinaches are yummy
Don't throw anything in the waste!

Peppermint drops
and lollipops!
They are treats
after meals!

On a dark dark night
The moon was out of sight
I asked the clouds to move
But I only saw a pretty dove

I asked the pretty dove
Where is the moon hiding?
It said " I don't know "
And went off flying

I asked the biggest cloud
"Where is the moon"
It looked at me sternly
And roared very loudly

At last I found the moon
Smiling at me!
Sitting in his Lunar Room
And fishing in the sea!

I wish I could be a mermaid,

And play with my friends in the water.

I don't want to live with the sun,

Where its more and more hotter.



I wish I could live in the heaven,

Where its nice and cool.

I don't want to live in the hell,

Where we can't be bold.



Then at last I understood that,

No more wishes for me.

Because God came and told me that,

Never wish anything more than you have, my child.

sea-The sun and the stars
Are the yellow painted chocolate bars
sky-The calm sea is blue
It is always happy like you!

sky-The stones and pebbles are black
I had collected many and put them in a sack
sea- what are those fluffy-fluffy things?
sky-These are the clouds, as pretty as golden rings!

sea- what is this?
sky- this is the moon,
before hundred years
he had granted me a boon!
